NEHAWU congratulates and wishes the Technical team and 23 Bafana Bafana players selected to represent South Africa during the 2010 Soccer World Cup tournament the best of luck tomorrow when they play their first match against Mexico.We hope that with the support of all South Africans they will put on a spectacular show.

This historical event is of great significance to the people of South Africa who for decades were sitting on the sidelines of international sporting events because of apartheid. NEHAWU thanks and congratulates SAFA and the LOC for the wonderful work they have done in bringing and organizing the 2010 Soccer World Cup to South Africa.

We have all seen what a significant role that sports play in uniting different nations of the world. Let us all unite for the sake of humanity. We are conscious of the big challenge facing Bafana Bafana but with support of all the South Africans and other nations, in particular, African nations, we hope you shall do the best of your abilities. Whatever happens you will always be ours and ours only.
