NEHAWU Gauteng On The Bilateral With SACP In The Province

The National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union [NEHAWU] in Gauteng convened a bilateral meeting with the provincial leadership of South African Communist Party [SACP] in Gauteng on the 16th July 2025.

The bilateral was convened with an aim of strengthening relations with the SACP, and further intensify the work of political unity of the working class and solidarity. In line with its historical objective as a Marxist-Leninist vanguard party of workers.

The SACP committed to support and work with NEHAWU, through the federation, the Congress of South African Trade Unions [COSATU], to advance the interests of the workers in the province.

The meeting received a detailed report on the state of the union, concrete political situation and the plight faced by workers in the province, and after deliberations, the Party pledged its full and unwavering support to NEHAWU under the current leadership.

Once more, the Party called on the working class in the province to exercise discipline and unity in advancing the interests of the entire working class, both organised and un-organised .

The union, express its faith in the leadership of the Party in the province and appreciates the candour and political direction provided by the SACP as the vanguard Party of the working class.
